What a great weekend for the Club

Firstly, congratulations to the A team entry in the MDL Cup where they had a good win against the B team entry in the morning game and a great victory against Torbay Country Club in the final. Well done lads
Secondly, congratulations to [left to right] Doug and Colin who played at Exmouth Madeira club in the Unbadged Pairs semi final and final.  They won the semi final with a great score of 22-11 and beat Feniton in the final 15-9 and are Devon’s Unbadged Pairs Champions  Well done guys
Lastly, congratulations to [left to right] Sue Lee, Jeanette Bratcher and Sue Perdue who played in the Topsham Ladies Invitation Triples and were crowned the Champions  Well done ladies

Second day of Club Finals and another day of great weather Today saw the Club Triples, Men’s Handicap and Ladies Veterans in the morning followed in the afternoon by the Men’s two woods and Men’s and Ladies Championships
Some competitions have had to be rearranged as they could not be played over the Finals Weekend
Thank you to all who turned out to spectate
Very many thanks to all that worked hard to make the weekend a great success – the Green Team, the Catering Team, the Bar Team, all Club members who marked various competitions, the members who competed, the President and of course the Competition Sectretaries

What a great game yesterday.  Helen and Debbie from Babbacombe (winners of Section 6) v Liz and Jo from Plymstock (winners of Section 8 )
Very close game with only one point in it at the end! Well done Liz and Jo from Plymstock

Men’s Unbadged Pairs
Another great game.  Colin Whiley and Doug Potter from Babbacombe (winners of Section 6) v Peter Baker and David Turner from Topsham (winners of Section 4)
Babbcombe won  27 shots to Topsham 5 shots

Congratulations to the Babbacombe lads this evening on WINNING the section 6 Foxlands by 6 shots. The away rink losing 22 – 17 in a close game. The score was 17 all after 19 ends. The home rink were always in control winning by 21 – 10.

Opening Day

Well it finally arrived – Opening Day on Saturday 15th April. We welcomed the Mayor Cllr Mandy Daring who was accompanied by Penny her mother-in-law and Pepsi the black lab.  The weather was kind to us and everyone had a very enjoyable afternoon of bowling followed by sandwiches and cakes courtesy of the Catering Team.  Here’s to a great season !
