Club Short Mat Pairs Competition

Once again the Club Short Mat Pairs Competition is underway and adds an element of competitive fun to take us through the winter months.

It’s played every Wednesday from October to the end of February, by eight participating teams who are members of our Club.

Each team has a uniquely creative name, such as: The Stingers, Torbay Tigers, the Grumpies and Pointless – to name a few!

The Standings are updated and placed on the board each Friday and is sometimes met with comments, such as: a head shaking we’ve gone down! Or a delighted Look at that, we’ve moved up

The games are played every Wednesday from 10 am to 4 pm.  Each game lasts ten ends or one hour.

As plans do change and games have to be rescheduled on an ongoing basis, there’s a full updated schedule on the board at the club.

Section 6 Finals – Sunday 4th August 2024

We were proud to host the Section 6 Ladies Finals and what a day it was. Superb bowling by all competitors. Lovely to see so many spectators as well. With thanks to all those who worked so hard to make the day a success – the Green Manager & Team, the Catering & Bar Team, the Responsible Person and Markers and of course Denise Clarke for ensuring the day ran well. Apologies if anyone has been missed but your input is always appreciated.
Well done to the winners and commiserations to those who didn’t win but you all did so well to get so far
