Spectators very welcome and so please come along and support the competitors
Well we are entering the last month of the outdoor season and what a busy time the Club has had. Since April we have welcomed clubs from near and far for eight friendly and fifteen tourist matches. Most of the Club competitions have taken place in readiness for the finals – to be played Saturday 6th September, Saturday 13th September and Sunday 14th September. The Men’s (MDL) and Ladies (SDLL) Leagues have been played, the Over 55’s Leagues, the Riviera Mixed Triples League along with numerous County competitions.

The last few weeks has seen the weather being very kind to us and long may it continue ! The Club internal competitions have started along with County matches and Paul, our Club coach, has been enjoying successful coaching with our new members. On the 22nd June we welcomed Henleaze Bowling Club for an afternoon of enjoyable bowling and company.

Five weeks into the season and what a busy time it has been. We have had the Big Bowls Weekend, two Open Days, had the pleasure of hosting seven visiting touring Clubs and a few friendly matches with local clubs. On top of that we have seen the Ladies and Men’s A and B leagues start, the Over 55’s League and the Riviera Mixed Triples leagues begin.

Two weeks into the season and we have already hosted five tourist matches. So far we have been lucky enough to welcome the following bowling clubs – Newquay Trenance, Spencer Moulton (Bradford On Avon), Llanbradach (Wales), Bath Post Office and Auriol (Surrey). The weather has been kind to us so far and fingers crossed this continues !
As always, the public are welcome to come and spend an hour or two watching people enjoying a great sport
